Accessibility

The Southern Arts Federation (SAF) is committed to providing employees and the public, including individuals with disabilities, access to its web-based information and services. The ArtsOpportunities.org Web site has been tested using a variety of assistive technology (AT) software and has been designed for conformance to the section 508 standards.

We understand, however, that some assistive technology may not be compatible with every feature available on ArtsOpportunities.org. For instance, certain assistive technology does not recognize a command to close an instance of the browser (i.e., a pop-up window). When this happens, use the Windows shortcut key combination Alt-F4 to close the window.

In addition since the ArtsOpportunities Web site provides links to many Web sites that are not created or maintained by SAF, it is possible that a site reached through the ArtsOpportunities Web site would not be accessible to persons with disabilities.

What is ArtsOpportunities.org

The Southern Arts Federation in partnership with The Center for Arts Management and Technology at Carnegie Mellon (CAMT) has developed ArtsOpportunities.org, an online classifieds bank serving all arts disciplines. This free Internet tool will connect arts-related organizations with artists, interns, volunteers and potential employees.

What makes ArtsOpportunities.org Unique?

It's specific to the arts industry; organizations will now have a human resource tool that allows them to target and recruit a diverse group of art-related individuals. A free membership includes: 1) ability to create postings of all types: employment, internship and call for artist (artist opportunities); 2) receive resumes by e-mail; 3) manage your postings by making changes, additions or deletions; and 4) review and change your account status. By having these features organizations save time and money for busy organizations.

Additionally, opportunity seekers now have centralized access to a base of organizations, solely dedicated to hiring or listing possible arts-related employment, internships, volunteer, and artist opportunities. In an easy-to-use searchable database, ArtsOpportunities.org will offer a wide variety of full- and part-time administrative, and technical positions, as well as, artist opportunities. Artist opportunities include: artists in the classroom, grant opportunities, calls for artwork, auditions and much more. Users may search by any type of arts discipline and sub-categories within each discipline, geographic locations,  keywords, job type, or any combination of these criteria's providing a much faster and more efficient search experience.
